The New Unsolved Mysteries Program on the Spike Network A TRUE GEM!
I finally was able to catch a semi mini-marathon this afternoon of the new revamped, restyled and moderized version of the1980-90's cult classic Unsolved Mysteries. The original series hosted by the legandary Robert Stack dressed in his Humphrey Bogart trench coat , allowed the paranormal topic to recieve most needed television coverage. This was important because the paranormal was not as mainstream and as widely excepted as it is today. Unsolved Mysteries became a true mainstay for the paranormal. Robert Stack brought a distinct cleverness to the series, with his calm yet suspenseful narration each story was entertaining and interesting. Stack's delivery style was truly what defined the series. The premise for Unsolved Mysteries was to uncover all types of the unknown, the stories ranged from murder mysteries to missing persons, even the paranormal.and bizarre The show had a terrific longtime run with a great loyal following but was quietly cancelled and forgotten by most. The only way of watching Unsolved Mysteries usually ment uploading old episodes on YouTube, or possibly catching a rerun on some late night channel. That was until recently the Spike Network reworked , rebranded, and relaunched Unsolved Mysteries modernized for this century. When I heard this news I was excited and eager to watch the primiere episode. Unfortunately I was not able to.
I grew up watching the show as a true fan, this show and I proudly admit Unsolved Mysteries elevated my curiousity in the paranormal. I can add that I practically ran home to watch it when it was on. Unsolved Mysteries covered the paranormal with an honest and unbiased respectful way especially in the 80's when "safe television" seem to dominate the television airwaves. From the very first episode I saw in the I was hooked. Today I was fortunate enough to have seen two episodes. I am already a fan of the new Unsolved Mysteries hosted by Dennis Farina.
Dennis Farina a well known actor from Hollywood with a lengthy career and resume. With Dennis Farina as a host he brings along his own unique delivery and style carefully illustrating each story effectively and remarkably similar to Stack's calming tone. The new Unsolved Mysteries picks up exactly where the original left off covering all sorts of unsolved crimes, unexplained disappearences, and of course the paranormal. There is also a website set up exclusively for the show here is the link
A great site with a complete bio of Dennis Farina, Opening sequences, Trailers, and pictures of some of the casefiles. There is also an area were you can register for updates and an area where a person can assist in the solving of a profiled case and finally a store.with official merchandise from the show.
Overall this show was a huge influence for my search and discovering many unexplained phenomenoms especially in the paranormal filed of research. Not all the stories are strictly paranormal, this does not efect the show in any way though. The variety of stories on Unsolved Mysteries makes it interesting and fresh, I relize it's still early but I am confident that this remake of the classic series will certainly become a household name once again in the paranormal believer's favourite television programs list. It definatley will be on mine.

"JackassTV"
That should be the new name for SpikeTV, since 90% of their shows are junk and just plain stupid (Unsolved counts as 10%, since 10% of Spike's TV (or on-air) time seems to be devoted to Unsolved Mysteries, if only if it were more...how sad and pathetic that they can't give this legendary show more time! Those idiots wouldn't know how to run a TV station if their lives depended on it!
Also, Spike Lee and his jackass management for his TV station wouldn't know the real meaning of "manhood" if it bit them clear in the ass!!! They say men are "alcohol and sex obsessed". I got news for you, Spike....I'm a guy and I'm certainly not!!!! There's far more to life than booze and sex!!! Sounds like someone has no life!!! Spike Lee and his crew are a bunch of slobs who need to get laid!!! Oh wait, they already got that covered!!!! SLOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
