STUNNED Chris Cocker was arrested and banged up after laughing at comic Paul Merton.
He was so tickled by the 50-year-old’s performance on telly news quiz Have I Got News For You that he fell off his sofa.
A man in a flat below heard the bang and thought his neighbour was having a fit, so called the police.
Officers dashed round to find him unhurt. But when they asked for his details he flew into a rage and tried to slam the door in a bobby’s face, a court heard.
