Norway Spiral Photos, Video: What Caused the Lights Over Norway?

I saw where someone had mentioned the CERN project, and did a little research- An article from 2007 states that the Accelerator was scheduled to launch two weeks before Christmas in 2007, but that the launch had been canceled. Today is two days off of two weeks before Christmas- any relation? Just another theory. Where are the authorities and experts? I want to hear some acknowledgement.

I honestly believe that this is a comet. I think people are getting to crazy about their explanations. This could have been a near miss from another "Tunguska Event" like that which occurred in Siberia in 1908. In this event a large comet is believed to impact the earth, and destroyed a large area of marsh lands. There seems to be a developed corona around the head of the unit and streaking tail. What is interesting is the spiraling final descent before disinigration. Just throwing it out there, but this would insinuate that something deflected it from its normal ballistic trajectory. Perhaps the governments detected an object in upper orbit and hit it and all we sall we're the remains. It could have been a test of the US's anti-ballistic missile shield. Who knows, I'm sure we'll find out in the coming days with an offical statement from NASA, European Space Agency, NATO or the US Dept of Defense. Please try to think "inside the box" at distinct possibilities, rather than fantastical, wild imagination-fueled theories.

Did anyone thought to investigate where the end of that blue ray of light was?  IE go to the site of where the ray of light ended?  Might give some clue as to what the whole thing was really about.  It either originated from earth or was aimed at the earth. from the still pictures it looked like there was another source of white light just behind the mountains where the blue ray ends/starts.

The CERN event was Tuesday evening and the Norway Spiral occurred only hours later? Sounds like we caused the spiral playing with atoms at CERN. Cern and Norway are not that far apart and who knows how atoms smashing at nearly the speed of light will affect our atmosphere...The time and distance between the two are insignificant. Of course... the governments are always going to say one thing and deny another...blame the military...Roswell was only a baloon...thats why the air force and government were taking action at great cost...to tell us it was a baloon. Roswell is a great story but the world record Cern particle event Tuesday evening and the Norway spiral are uncontested facts! It will be VERY interesting to watch the sky during the next CERN event!

Norway has a HAARP station near where the event took place.  HAARP is potentially a very dangerous weapon which can be used to burn a hole through the ionosphere; and in theory create a plasma 'shield' which would destroy any objects moving through the area.  (think missiles or aircraft) very dangerous technology with the potential to end or drastically alter the existence of life on earth.

I have seen multiple pictures and videos of the event.  And while I could not find any photographs of similar-looking missile malfunctions, I'm beginning to believe that's what this was--no matter how much the Soviet government denies that it was one of theirs.  (Soviet subs were scheduled to conduct missile tests in the north Atlantic yesterday.)  The Soviet Government generally denies everything that anyone else can't conclusively prove, so this means nothing. However, it was a stunningly unique display, under just the right light conditions.  Some witness descriptions said the large white spiral happened first, and the blue-streak spiral from it's center arcing to the surface of the Earth happened later in the event.  But this may have been the result of how the upper atmosphere was being progressively lit by the sun at just the right moment.  (Dawn was immenint when the event happened.)  Apparently, witnesses and many of us who have seen the photos presume that the blue streak is coming from the center of the spiral, towards us and to the right, to a point behind the mountain (on land).  However, this is an optical trick of perspective.  If you consider that it was likely going the other way... from the center of the spiral, down and away over the Notrh Atlantic, then the missile malfunction explanation is easy to see.  The blue streak marks the missile's spiral path into the upper atmosphere, where the second stage fired, causing it to tumble about a dozen times (creating the white spiral), before it burned-out.  It was just a freak trick of the smoke from the missile being illuminated by the rising sun while most of the sky to the west was still relatively dark.  But I have to say... damn, what a show!  By the way... for those speculating that this was a HAARP effect or something to do with particle accellerators:  physics and Star Trek are two different things.

I think its funny as hell that no one believes that something like this norway spiral could be anything other then some goverment weapon, light show, technology. Think about this if this is some kind of new advanced tech then why cant they cure AIDS or death for that matter. How come we cant send people into space to other planets to visit or observe the planet. Maybe it just something that right now no one can explain but they are trying to pull something out of their ass to make up so people will feel better about it. Anyways they really cant tell you the full answer to the question cause lets face it we dont all have a SUPER SECRET SQUIRREL LEVEL MILLION CLEARANCE. But wait GOD might not have that clearance either but he sees all and hears all or at least thats what we are told as we grow up. Thats another story in its own, but the Norway Spiral might be something cool or it might not be. We will never know for sure unless you got the CLEARANCE.

I am sure it is related to CERN LHC.  An event that is very small at CERN like a black hole spiraling up into the sky where the event horizon is at an obtuse angle would travel miles before is would be large enough to be seen.  To say a black hole could be contained is ludicrous.   While it may be a dimensional portal opening up to the place where gravatons exist, there is no way to know what type of phenomenon it was unless CERN comes out with an explanation.

It is clear that there has been a rush to placate fears and wild speculations, to reduce this incident down to something commonplace, and shift blame onto the old enemy of "the Soviet government", which, by the way, no longer exists as the USSR. The government has already demonstrated that it is easy to create a scare, but so much harder to tell the truth. After all, the number one enemy of progress is question. And by the way, are you really a doctor? How would you have access to multiple video and photographs to compare with missile failures? Strange...every country uses a radar network (civil/military) to see what's happening in it's airspace and for protection against hostile movements.  So one could expect that is would be easy to determine where the phenomenon came from,  what it's speed, altitude and direction were,  size, etc. Furtheron satelites are watching what's happening. So, if the autorities tell us not to have a clue, that tells me they know what it is, but not wanting to tell us about it, like so many times. If it was a malfunctional (and strange) rocket and no one wants to talk about it (my guess), it may be a good idea to investigate the surroundings on chemical contamination and/or radiation.

If you look at a map you will see that directly north of the places that these lights were seen is an island called Svalbard. On that island there is a HAARP like station, a part of the EISCAT Project (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EISCAT). These facilities are known to make aurora-like lights in the skies and are highly experimental. So my guess is that this was an experiment with some of old Tesla's discoveries.

From the info I have read, I suspect that the spiral was caused by CERN.  I would like someone to come forward and explain what happened; and I would like to know if there were any problems that may have been a result of the spiral.

Check this for similar Blue cone shaped cloud. The similarity is the rocket / missile launch, but then the smoke plume is missing.
