Nut Bandits Steal $100,000 in Cashews
Ten pallets and $100,000 worth of cashew nuts were stolen on Sunday from a Sydney suburb. Police responded to a call early in the morning reporting the theft.
Perhaps the nut bandits have heard about the heart healthy benefits of consuming raw nuts?
POLICE are appealing for help today after cashew nuts worth an estimated $100,000 were stolen from a business in Sydney's west.
Police were alerted to the theft of nuts from a business on Forge Street in Blacktown by an alarm activation about 5.30am (AEDT) on Sunday.
On arrival they found the back roller door of the premises raised and 10 pallets of nuts missing.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time is urged to contact Blacktown Police on 9671 9199 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Or perhaps they were just nut jobs.

I was on a tiny 6X10 km island in Thailand with no cars and I walked by this woman sitting working all day long intricately peeling these cashews one by one. So much work goes into each delicious little nut after drying, explaining their weight in gold.
I accidentally had the white balance set to indoor without realizing and I don't use Photoshop etc. so not my very best work yet the subject was mesmerizing and the little boy gorgeous!

I'm thrilled. I've never had a photo "published" before. It's just a pile of nuts....but it's MY pile of nuts.... and now it's EVERYONE'S pile of nuts! Thank you!

Thanks for asking me to use one of my shots ( many people just take it and don;t bother to ask).
This shots of the cashews (caju as they are called in Brazil) was taken in Ceará, Northeast Brazil; early in the morning I went to pick them before breakfast; I love eating them before breakfast fresh from the cashews trees.
Thank you!

Yummy cashew brittle with cayenne and cinnamon. Dried on a silicone baking sheet which made the underside look like a matte painting.
