Barack Obama is visiting the West Bank on Wednesday. Naturally, someone has created an Obama bagel to mark the occasion. The baker, a Palestinian man named Nasir Abdul Hadi, prepares the Obama bagel with cherry tomatoes and mint, which is totally elitist, you might say, if you were this person. What would a McCain bagel look like? What are you in bagel?

Palestinian baker Nasir Abdul Hadi is so grateful Barack Obama is making time to visit the West Bank that he has named a bagel after him.

The presumptive Democratic nominee for US president will spend a few hours in Ramallah on Wednesday, as part of a Middle East tour. Obama's Republican challenger, John McCain, did not visit the West Bank during a recent trip.

The Obama bagel was on display Tuesday at Abdel Hadi's bakery in downtown Ramallah. It's baked with cherry tomatoes and mint.

I ordered this bagel in a diner in New York City, around 17th street and 1st avenue I think. As an English visitor to the US, I love the generous size of breakfast portions in the USA. Like many of my compatriots, I also like Barack Obama and would like him to succeed. I'll toast him a bagel and scramble him an egg any time.

She was hungry and pregnant -- and what did she ask me to make? A bagel smothered in cream cheese, topped with a pile of mozzarella cheese which was then grilled and garnished with a whole sliced avocado. Happy baby!

There's really nothing like a good fresh homemade bagel with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and salt.

To be honest, this is the first I'd heard of this story, so I can't really comment on it. However, if anyone is looking for a tasty bagel then they should go to Ess-a-Bagel in New York and try their blueberry cream cheese bagels.

Sesame, salt-and-pepper and everything bagels. I made these bagels for a baking class. They were as yummy as they look!
