This is a very strange election year!

As supporters’ excitement builds in anticipation of the presidential conventions, a new video has hit YouTube featuring clever editing of Barack Obama “singing” to Rick Astley’s 1987 hit “Never Gonna Give You Up” — a clip that has now attracted over 1 million viewers.

The video plays off the Internet trend of spreading Astley’s video to unsuspecting viewers, a practice known as “rick-rolling.”
