Barack Obama: 2 Million Expected To Witness Inauguration

As America enters its next presidency which is being hailed as the presidency of hope and change, the very event that marks the beginning of this presidency is marred by a huge allegation. The allegation is that President Barack Obama's inauguration will become the most costly inauguration of a president in the history of the United States.

The increased expenditure for the inauguration of Barack Obama could be ascribed to the fact that this inauguration is anticipated to be the most largely attended inauguration and that president obama wants the event to be as accesible to the public as possible. Some may criticize Obama as marking the beginning of his presidency in as a hypocrite by adding on to the public expenditure and perhaps the public debt even before he takes office, while others may praise him for creating accomodation for all the people who wish to see him inaugurated as president.

President Bush's inauguration cost only 42.3 million dollars, whereas Bill Clinton's innauguration cost only 33 million dollars, however, President Obama's inauguration is all set to cost about 160 million dollars. The expected number of people who will attend this inauguration is held at about 1.5 million people.

However, that is not all, this innauguration is also being accompanied by the greatest security operation in the history of American presidential inaugurations. There will be over 42,500 secret service agents and there will army, and national guard present at the event, and there will be huge preaparations for any eventuality including chemical and biological attacks. Besides these the Potomac River will be patrolled by the coast guard and the United Sates Air Force will also be patrolling the skies to amintain the safety of this epic event in American presidential history.

Obama has pledged the world a change. So he is supposed to think about what he has pledged instead of having an inauguration of $160 million. It seems just to be a big show.
