One-Armed Snake Explained in the Bible
The recent snake discovered with an arm-like appendage protruding from its belly can be explained from the Bible. According to Genesis 3:1 and 3:14 the serpent (snake) originally belonged to the cattle family. Afterwards, because the serpent was used by Satan to deceive Eve to commit sin, God placed a curse on the serpent so that it would no longer walk like the other cattle but, instead, crawl on its belly (Genesis 3:14).
The discovery of the one-armed serpent means that modern snakes still have the genes for legs but these genes are mostly unexpressed in the general snake population. Some mutation(s) must have occurred allowing partial expression of these genes so that a partial arm-like appendage developed in the snake newly discovered in China.
