One way to avoid pickpockets

I found these guys strolling casually up Las Ramblas in Barcelona. I was hunting thieves, not nudes. I followed anyway, just to see if they'd get arrested. They didn't, in the half-hour I tagged along. Strangely, they seemed surprised to be the focus of so much attention. And they clearly liked the attention. Maybe they weren't so surprised...
