In a upsetting story out of Sountern Ontario, no not the Bryan McCabe and the Panthers beating the Maple Leafs, a batch of misprinted Scratch & Win tickets have lead to some frustrating news. The tickets in question, approx. 3 million Fruit Smash, were pulled from shelves after the Ontario Lottery Corp. received several calls from ticket buyers. Many of the callers were "winners".
One winner, a Brampton Ontario man, thought his stack $3 tickets were worth $135,000 but it turns out they are all duds.
Ontario Lottery Corp. spokesman Don Pister said
We're apologizing to everyone and anyone who feels they were at all confused or inconvenienced by this," "Obviously, you can't scratch and play every single one of the three million tickets but there are various checks done by us as well as by the ticket printer."
If you think you may have a winning ticket, Ontario Lottery Corp. is suggesting you contact them before attempting to redeem your winnings.
