Pam Ward Discovers More Dead Bodies at LA UnifiedOpinion. While at the post office at Washington and La Brea, I spoke with a reliable source which shared the recent finding of more dead bodies buried under Los Angeles Unified School District’s administrative offices. As reported earlier bodies have been found, moved and reinterned at Rosedale Cemetery in Los Angeles, the second oldest cemetery in Los Angeles next to Evergreen which is the oldest. However, Rosedale is home of the oldest crematory in L.A and has been burning bodies since 1903.
As I indicated in my lastest novel, BAD GIRLS BURN SLOW, Aug, 2008, Los Angeles Unified School District’s administrative offices were built on top of L.A.’s oldest, and now defunct cemetery which was called City cemetery which was located near Beaudry and 1st. Maybe that’s why there has always been so much turmoil swirling within the school district throughout the years.
“Please don’t quote me,” the source said. "but lots of bodies were found there. We can’t talk about it since the archeologists have not submitted their final report, but many graves were discovered during the escavation. Some of those bodies were probably the unclaimed remains of City cemetery. Many bodies were left after the cemetery closed for good."
