Papa's In the House: The Brennan's

John Schnatter, founder of Papa John's Pizza, had sold his beloved 1971 Camaro Z28 in order to bail out his dad's bar and start his own business: the now-global Papa John's Pizza. Something was missing, though, that success just couldn't replace: the Camaro.

John Schnatter went on a mission to find his old Camaro, and spent years on the hunt. He even offered $250,000 to whoever found the Camaro. His misison is now complete, and Papa John and his Camaro are reunited.

Schnatter says it looks very much the same as it did when he sold it in 1983, but with a larger motor and fatter tires for drag racing.

To celebrate, Camaro owners get free pizza at Papa John's Pizza tomorrow. I guess you have to point out your ride in the parking lot or something.
The Camaro now lives at Papa John's headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.

Meanwhile, I know exactly where my old 1968 Pontiac Firebird is... but it's happy in its new home. Sometimes love means knowing when to let go.
