Cat Goes Berserk, Dies in Coach Class

A woman brought her Persian cat aboard a flight in a pet carrier, where it began to show signs of agitation as the flight progressed. The woman took the cat out of the carrier when it started to pant.

Holding the Persian cat up to the ceiling-mounted air vent did not calm it down; instead, the cat went berserk, attacking the nearby seat backs and hissing violently.

A redditor reported this story, and managed to get a photo of the woman and the newly-deceased cat. Way to bury the lede, though: the headline of the Reddit item does not mention a cat at all.

Fairly far down in the comment thread, some citizen veterinarians debate what could have killed the cat. Maybe it was a heart attack from the stress, or maybe the cat was too badly overheated for the forced air to have any helpful effect.

Then again, the thread also mentions Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, but not in relation to the poor woman or her cat.
