A recent accidental find of four ping-pong sized Tatura eggs in New Zealand's  mainland is creating  a buzz for scientists .   With  the discovery of the Tartura's nest this is prominsing for the animal's survival.   Previously this animal  was thought to be nearly extinct, it is quite the scientific  find.  The last reported sighting of this animal's natural nesting habits  dated back about 200 years. Tarturas are last remaining member of the ancient group of reptiles called, Sphenodontia.  These reptiles are closely related to the dinosaurs.  unlike any  modern day lizard.  It has been noted that the  tuatara had been absent from mainland New Zealand  once thought to be rare if not extinct by the late 1700s. The cause is speculated to have happened by rats eating thier eggs.  The staff of the Tartura sanctuary uncovered the eggs while preforming maintenance work at the site.  This find creates hope of finding more nests in the quest of re-establishing the Tartura's population.  It has been also discovered by scientists that the Tartura reptile has the fastest evolving DNA evolutionary progress the any other animal on Earth.

Possibly for the inquiring mind this is what the Reptilian aliens are decendents from?  Just a thought to take in.
