Prisoners allowed to order pizza and wings for superbowl
Attica Correctional Facility in New York, best known for being the worst prison uprisings in United States history allowed prisoners to order pizza and chicken wings for pregame Super Bowl festivities.
have been a correction officer for almost 27 years and must say that it’s a sad day when inmates at a maximum-security prison are allowed the luxury of ordering takeout food from a local vendor. What a disservice to the victims and/or the family members of the victims to give individuals who have committed heinous crimes the privilege of ordering out fast food.
Do you think inmates should be allowed to order takeout?

No, this is awful - how can they be allowed to do this when they have broken the law and they are in prison for a reason!? I'm not even sure they should be allowed to watch the super bowl at all! disgraceful!

The place is Ushigome Kagurazaka, Tokyo Japan. Near from Ichigaya. I at last learned how to use Ooedo Line recently, and find this pizza house. A son seems to have opened new shop near the shop which Italian father did. But there is always the father who cannot take his eyes off a son still more. Oh, there is not an aura on his son yet so that this son thought it to be a part-time job first. Hang in there it is father ...

Remember last week's post about a prison in Massachusetts buying Flat Screen TVs with their "canteen funds?" I guess it's the same idea - it's their buck.
Guess who got pizza and beer during the Superbowl?

The prisoners are already in jail and are being punished for their crimes - if they've earnt their money they should be allowed to spend it however they like provided it doesn't affect their victims or society.
Besides - spending helps stimulate the economy right? :)
(btw, the pizzas are from Pizza Mario in Sydney)

There's a rich history of such things in prisons: Samuel Beckett did a series of performances at San Quentin, and of course Johnny Cash...
