In the original show's premise Frank Black profiled criminals with an almost unnatural style, he had the ability to see the crime from inside the mind of the accused. With psychic abilities Black investigated mysterious and horrific crimes with a paranormal flare. During his career as a profiler Frank began recieving disturbing photos of his family murdered. This affected him so greatly that he decided to retire from profiling crime

After retiring he moved his wife and family to Seattle to escape his past and the disturbing photos. He also joined a group called the Millennuim group. Though in Seattle the photos did not cease, in fact his wife was eventually kidnapped. Black located her and the with intense rage killed kidnapper sending his marriage in a whirlwind of destruction. This rage was so terrifying that Black's wife feared he had become something she was afraid of, thus separating from him because of his actions. Wondering what had went wrong Black seemed to have the rug pulled from under him his world was crashing. He lost his wife and family and began to sense his ties with the Millennium group needed to be examined. Black had the realization that the group he joined were not the group he was told they were. Suspicions and paranoia tumbled Frank Black into a failed marriage and a quest for truth. Exposing the Millenium group and trying to piece back together himself and his family,.

This fine show began in 1996 and had three year run Millennium was abruptly removed from the television airwaves in 1996.
