So called Giants fans were tearing up the streets literally, as a rash of riots broke out across San Francisco overnight...

...after the Giants won the World Series. Although not a topic on the overnight news, Twitter users made countless reports of the rioting and fires that came even as the game was ending.

It seems a win for San Francisco is a loss for the city, with people acting out, setting fires, and throwing bottles at riot police.

The Los AngelesTimes reported that the police conversations were being broadcast live via the website UStream, with Twitter fans following along and posting regular updates. It seems the riot became as big as the ball game...lol...

I have a friend living in SF right in the center of the storm, she was fearing for her safety as she listened to the police radio stream and could hear gun shots outside...
