The rock, paper, scissors championship will begin in Britain on June 9, and people from all across the nation will be fighting it out to be the champion.

250 people will start out in the first round, held at a pub in Devon, and then there will be a 'best of three' knock-out tournament on June 9 in Exeter.

Organisers say this is a game of skill, not luck. Spokesperson Sally Raynes says:

"Beginners usually fight with rocks, whilst women prefer throwing the defensive paper.

"There are techniques and complicated strategies."
