In the same vein
Its been nearly three year since I last dawned my crimson smoking jacket and matching fedora well crushing the early morning issue’s of all of my local daily’s and sucking back half pots of Joltin Joes Jumpy Java. Three long years since I last spent the better part of the morning hours in the company of a thick cloud of tobacco smoke. This article however is hardly about me, this article is about the billions of smokers worldwide. Who have been robbed of their voices in the forum of public opinion. Not only is smoking wrong but having any positive opinions about the topic has become ground for condemnation.
An opinion worthy of condemnation !
You would think, based on the punishment that the crime would be of the most appalling variety but having an opinion can be considered no more appalling than any of the other things we as humans do on a daily basis. Blink, Breath, Wink, Walk, Brush, Rush, Blush all can be seen in their own dark lights but we all must agree that these things, much like opinions themselves are what bring out the individuality and inner beauty in us all.
The Defence Rests
And with that being said I would like to take this opportunity to speak on behalf of the billion or so smokers worldwide.
1. 98% of all second hand smoke irritations eyes, ears, nose and mouth are all products of the irritated parties imagination.
2. Woman who chain smoke are sexy, men who chain smoke don’t get enough of woman who do.
3. The angriest I’ve ever been in public was the day some sleezball club owner asked me to take my $150 cigar outside of his 50¢ club.
4. Smoking has and always will be a status symbol. Those who have, smoke the best. Those without smoke the rest.
5. Smokers develop chronic diseases such as emphysema and lung cancer. No other single epidemic in history has so strongly supports the thriving business of health care.
