A video of a Santa Cruz city council meeting has gone viral thanks to loopy testimony made by a local woman.
In a speech reminiscent of Miss Teen South Carolina, the Santa Cruz City Council girl, as some have dubbed her, rambles on about the need for California to rebuild its economy through agriculture. Or at least that's what we think she's talking about. All we can really make out is that she thinks "food is good."
Then things start getting weird when she brings up slavery.
We can be rich in cotton and mining metals and silkworms and we can makes things, we can make things cars, the machine can make it for us...on the East Coast they have slaves and they believe in slavery and made in China, but on the West Coast, the new West Coast, we don't believe in that. We believe in the union and that's what we are.
