Seagulls force kids' playtime to be cancelled

Hungry seagulls have forced playtime to be cancelled in Croatian schools after they started grabbing pupils' packed lunches.

The protected species have resorted to scavenging owing to an explosion in their numbers.

'It is too dangerous for schoolkids to go outside. We have to do something about the situation before it gets any worse,' a Porec city official said.
