Secret MoD files reveal UFOs went to the top
A former chief of defence staff warned Margaret Thatcher's government in 1985 that its "perfunctory" dismissal of UFO sightings near an RAF base shared with the US Air Force in Suffolk could turn into a political "banana-skin" because it was unexplained.
In a letter to Michael Heseltine, Mrs Thatcher's defence secretary at the time, the late Lord Hill-Norton said the sightings of unidentified flying objects in Rendelsham Forest by USAF personnel in December 1980 had "puzzling and disquieting" features that have never been satisfactorily explained.
We should all be aware by now this was to do with Stealth fighter and bomber tests and little green men from Mars were not involved.
Stealth technology also known as LO technology (low observable technology) is a sub-discipline of military tactics and passive electronic countermeasures, which cover a range of techniques used with personnel, aircraft, ships, submarines, and missiles, in order to make them less visible (ideally invisible) to radar, infrared, sonar and other detection methods.
The concept of stealth is to operate or hide without giving enemy forces any indications as to the presence of friendly forces. This concept was first explored through camouflage by blending into the background visual clutter. As the potency of detection and interception technologies (radar, IRST, surface-to-air missiles etc.) have increased over time, so too has the extent to which the design and operation of military personnel and vehicles have been affected in response. Some military uniforms are treated with chemicals to reduce their infrared signature. A modern "stealth" vehicle will generally have been designed from the outset to have reduced or controlled signature. Varying degrees of stealth can be achieved. The exact level and nature of stealth embodied in a particular design is determined by the prediction of likely threat capabilities.

At the time of the event of these so called UFO sightings a lot was going on in Maggy thatchers government some of it was very humorous and of course just as stupid to think that little green men from Mars would dare to visit Great Britain when Queen Maggy was in power. A spitting image video of course adds just a bit more humor to this seeded article please enjoy...

I wonder if UFOs are going to be one of those things that future generations will look back at and say "what were those guys thinking about?" in the same way that we laugh at witchfinders and phrenologists and stuff?

The only time I have ever seen flying saucers is when my partner gets annoyed at me and that's nothing to laugh about. Yes I expect they will and as more stuff is taken off secret lists the UFO myths will be shattered. But some people will still believe and others will try to fool people still, it make life interesting and it causes no real harm.
