A Catholic primary school teacher's raunchy poses on a TV modelling show have shocked family groups. But, despite the outcry, Sacred Heart primary school in Melbourne have pledged its support to 24-year-old physical education teacher Rhys Uhlich.

MAKE Me a Supermodel finalist Rhys Uhlich prefers steaming up school gyms over catwalks.

Which is why the physical education teacher at Sacred Heart Primary School in Melbourne says he is hurt by family groups slamming his raunchy semi-naked poses as a contestant on the Channel 7 show.

Catholic teacher's pictures shock

"I find it funny that all of these people are commenting on me, saying I'm a terrible role model, and yet none of them have ever been into my classroom and watched me teach and see how I interact with the kids," Uhlich, 24, said.

"I certainly understand my responsibilities as a teacher and I think people are getting a bit carried away. The kids know me for who I am, and they are the ones who are with me everyday, not these people who have arced up. I wish they would come into the classroom and sit with me."

sweet east pearl, I like this story.

The picture I saw was soft porn in my opinion.  What does it take for the school to be upset - triple x?  Here is the one I saw:
