Shaker Heights High School Yearbook Features 'F-Bomb' On Cover
Students reading their Shaker Heights High School yearbook noticed something strange while reading it: someone managed to sneak an F-Bomb on the cover.
A graduating Shaker Heights student who designed the yearbook cover managed to sneak the letters "FY ALL" on the cover, a subtle way of sneaking the message "F--k Y'All" to his classmates and staff. The F-Bomb is cleverly concealed amid a drawing of "Red Raider" mascots on the yearbook cover.
Principal Michael Griffith said distribution of the Shaker Heights yearbook had been suspended and that "cosmetic surgery" will be done on the books to blot out the obscenity on the yearbook cover.
The blotting out of the F-Bomb brings to mind the infamous incident involving former Major League baseball player Billy Ripken, who accidentally had the words "F--k Face" appear on his baseball card. Baseball card makers Fleer then blotted out the offending message in future editions of the card.
Students didn't seem to upset by the Shaker Heights F-Bomb yearbook cover. The student who drew the cover received a standing ovation during the school's graduation ceremony.
Here is the Shaker Heights Yearbook Cover. Here is a close-up photo of the F-Bomb on the Cover.

wow, must be a slow day in the news room. Good thing they are focusing on important topics instead of little things like the current US Economic condition.

i don't either!! i think i see "FYAL" but how is that even close? i mean that could be an accident easily and its hardly offensive!

I have read other reports of this incident that state that the "F-word" appears on the cover. Even this one seems to indicate that by touting the "F-bomb" appearing. As a yearbook advisor for a middle school, I don't really think this is as big a deal as it is being played up to be. Sure, it shouldn't have happened and the student really should be held responsible. But, honestly, would anybody have ever found it if the student hadn't blabbed? I seriously doubt it. It just isn't that plain.

I see "FYALC." I'm sorry, but who ever got upset over that needs to get a "F-in" life. It's a stretch at best.

If it takes as much effort as I have given in trying to find something -- even knowing what it is I am supposed to be looking for -- then I don't think the school should have bothered with censoring the supposedly offensive cover.
I suppose the artist's true fault was in pointing out to a few friends "look what I snuck onto the cover" since no-one otherwise would have ever seen it.

I ind this amusing. I could of cared less if i went to that school. i wouldnt have told a teacher or anyone. I would of just told my friends about it. This is something stupid. These kids are in high school and their blotting out the f bomb like their working at a f--king emelentary school.

B"F" D! Wow, I wish I had time to dwell on something as stupid as this.

...I honestly don't see it at all. I looked really hard, and all i see is like, "FYALC." I even turned the computer upside down... I just don't see it. Is this after the edited it to make it more "suitable" because if not, they really didn't have to at all.

Until I see an unedited (blurred-out) photo, I won't believe it.
