The amazing video below shows a shark swimming down the street in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Irene hit the island. Apparently the shark was freed from its tank and decided to hit the town. The photo of the shark hit the web this morning.

The Puerto Rico Shark Photo is Fake

We want to believe it's real, but the shark photo is a hoax. The shark in the pic is copied from this iconic shark and kayak photo by Thomas Peschak, which was snapped in South Africa.

Channel 7 ran with it anyway because... well, it's a photo of a shark swimming down the street. A shark, freed by an act of nature from man-made confines, and tasting sweet, terrible freedom as it swims down the street. Well, at least in Photoshop.
