Ahhh yes, the summer silly season is upon us. It's that time of year when editors look around for strange, different stories to break the summer doldrums in many areas.
So, today's offering is a former NASA astronaut who says that aliens are real, and have apparently been dropping in for tea and cookies --or whatever--for a long time now. Dr. Edgar Mitchell's interview is also accessible via this link.
And one short note: ever stop and think about how many cultures have stories about and belief in "Little People"?
FORMER NASA astronaut and moonwalker Dr Edgar Mitchell - a veteran of the Apollo 14 mission - has stunningly claimed aliens do exist.
And he says extra-terrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions - but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades.
Dr Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens described the beings as 'little people who look strange to us.'

I know Larry King is more 'entertainment' than 'investigative', but here's a link to some video of one of his programs which was featured on CNN's jump-page just a few days ago. This one's a little unusual because his panel of guests are all ex-military ... have a look !

This is weird is anyone else having problems viewing the videos?, I have not been able to view any since I added some about the interview with Mitchell.

I just tried mine from my comment posting and they work fine. One thing you might try is just 'copy-and-paste' the link from the comment body to your browser address bar ... that's how I get them, anyway - by 'select text' and 'copy' from the address bar of my browser when I am at the actual video site, and then it's just a 'paste' into the body of the comment ...
By the way, the youTube link has been stable for quite a few months, and it's worth finding, if you haven't heard about this guy yet ...

Hi Vinny - I can watch all the videos attached to this story. However we are having a problem with some images not displaying at the moment - and that seems to be affecting some of the thumbnail images for the videos. If you click on the text that you see in place of the image, that should load the video for you, I hope.
Please let me know if the problem persists.

Yeah, X-Files! I'm betting it's going to suck.
First off, they're not delving into the myth ark of the story. We won't find out about the New Syndicate, the aliens' plans to take over the Earth on December 22, 2012, the plight of the resistance aliens, what is going on with the Black Oil, what the Men in Black are up to, what Kovarubius [sic.] is up to, how alien colonization is shaping up, how far along the New Syndicate is on making an alien/human hybrid, what the shape shifter is up to, where that boy who can read minds is, and so many other interesting things.
I guess the saving grace is that Doggett and Reyes aren't in it - I don't think. And Skinner is, that's good.

I think that the myth of aliens as currently constituted is a ruse set in place by America's military/industrial complex to keep the people from looking too closely at illegal tests our government is doing on civilians.
Or some people could just be letting their imagination run a little too wild.

The Asylum Street Spankers pretty well have this one wrapped up. Thanks for all the flags and comments, ya'll. P.S. I would have added the video but the NP search tool refuses to "find" a video that's there, even with exact title. So this was the easiest way. Plus, the aliens like one-click easy (No matter what Vinny says.....)
