'Spider-Man' Foils Comic Shop Robbery
A comic-book fan dressed as Spider-Man stopped a would-be thief from stealing a rare comic book. The incident took place at a comic book shop in Adelaide, South Australia, on International Free Comic Book Day.
Security footage from Adelaid Comic Centre shows footage of 'Spider-Man' stopping the comic thief, with a little assistance from some Jedi Knights. Turns out that Spidey is really the owner of the comic book store; a 45-year-old man named Michael Baulderstone, who clearly understands that with great power comes great responsibility.
"We had about 40 people dressed up as their favourite superheroes to celebrate International Free Comic Day, so he didn't have much of a choice but to hand the X-Men Omnibus back after a little bit of a scuffle," he said.
“My Spider-sense was tingling,“ Mr Baulderstone, 45, told The Times as he fielded congratulatory calls for his superhero behaviour.
