Spiderman Lizard New Pet Craze

A new exotic pet craze is sweeping the globe, after a very colorful lizard was found to resemble a very popular superhero. The Mwanza flat-headed rock agama looks a lot like Marvel superhero Spiderman, with a red head and a blue body.

The lizard is native to Africa, and is most commonly found in Kenya. It can live up to 15 years. They are good pets as they become tame easily, but they need a warm climate and a special diet of crickets, mealworms, locusts and waxworms.

The fourth Spiderman movie is to be released in 2011. According to the San Diego Entertainer, the villains in the movie will be Carnage - and - the Lizard.

Native to Kenya, the rock agama (Agama mwanzae) is unable to throw webs, but can change colour – the brightly coloured males will change brown at night or if frightened. They can also run on their hind legs, and – like Spidey – can scale vertical walls.
