Stamp of approval for man's best friend
MAN'S best friend is about to get a friendly lick from millions of Australians, as five of the nation's most popular dogs feature on a new stamp collection.
The stamps will go on sale today.
According to Australia Post philatelic group manager Noel Leahy, the latest stamp collection will appeal to a broad range of Australians.
"Australia has approximately half of the world's 400 recognised dog breeds; we are a nation that loves and respects man's best friend," Mr Leahy said.
"This series, however, shows that dogs are not just adored family members.
