Stewart Brenton, drunk driving, license suspended for 99 years

Stewart Brenton, a southern Newfoundlander was convicted of drunk driving and had his license suspended for 99 years. The 47 year old Brenton can have his license back when he is 146. On top of the 99 year suspension, he also has to serve two years in jail for impaired driving.
The Burin resident was driving by a school and through a hospital zone while drunk in nearby Salt Pond when he was arrested by RCMP.

Brenton had refused to stop for police on Wednesday and had attempted to flee the scene. He was also charged flight from police and with driving while disqualified.
