Stoned wallabies are responsible for making crop circles in the Australian island state of Tasmania, according to government officials. The marsupials (related to the kangaroo) are getting, and I quote, "high as a kite" on poppies grown in government-regulated fields.
This sets a questionable example for the joeys, but solves at least one crop circle mystery.
Lara Giddings, the attorney general for the island state of Tasmania, said the kangaroo-like marsupials were getting into poppy fields grown for medicine.
Australia produces half of the world's supply of legal opium, used in morphine production.
