Strange Sounds Heard Around the World: Videos and Theories

A mysterious, unidentified noise, somewhat of a howling sound, has been heard in several parts of Canada.
Two Youtube videos have surfaced since January 12, the first video reportedly recorded strange sounds in a forest in Conklin, Alberta., a remote community northeast of Edmonton. A resident of Manitoba turns on his camcorder to catch the howling sound loudly blaring from somewhere near his remote backyard.
In another video, workers in a forest area of Conklin, Alberta stop in their tracks to listen to and record the howling sounds, plainly scared out of their wits.
The noise has also been heard in Sweden, Hungary, Denmark, Costa Rica, Czech Republic and Malaysia.
Theories of the Strange Noise Phenomena
One possible theory to the phenomena is the sounds are being caused drilling to make way for large underground bomb shelters as some Governments are taking the threat of 2012 seriously. Another theory is, as always with unexplained occurrences, extraterrestrial beings or the sounds of sasquatch’s howl.
Others have suggested the strange noises might be the work of High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, HAARP. HAARP is a US-based research project that studies the ionosphere - a part of the Earth's upper atmosphere - and it has regularly been the subject of conspiracy theorists' discussions.
Nick Pope, a former high profile UFO investigator, believes that although there is unlikely to be one single cause, it’s probably nothing to worry about. He said, "One possibility is that we're dealing with some sort of phenomenon involving thunder. Sound can behave in very funny ways. Another option might be power lines. Again, under some circumstances we know power lines can make a humming and crackling sound. That may well explain some of these events."
But there are problems with the theory. How does it get pulled off all over the world? Who is taking chances in the middle of nowhere and, sometimes, in the middle of the night? Can't people who try this be prosecuted? How do they get from one part of the world to another in such little time, and why can’t the sounds be traced?
Youtube video blogger dutchsinse has created a term for these sky sounds. We can now call them UAOs or Unidentified Audible Objects.

Ive been following these noises for many months and there are many, but Conklin has been proved a hoax....listen to the original Ukraine recording (real) then listen to to Conklin, they have simply used the same sound recording.

I dont know if Conklin has been proven to be a hoax, I actually have some family up there who have heard it. They heard the sounds early morning and called me late afternoon freaked right out. It was many days later that they saw the internet videos from Conklin so there was no way the videos could have influenced them. I highly doubt this is a hoax.

In the mid 90s family members at my house complained of hearing heavy machinery-like sounds that they thought were coming from deep under the house somewhere. I heard the sounds too a few times. Wondering if those sounds could have been from the drilling to make way for large underground bomb shelters that you mention.

I agree. Someone or somethings being hidden. I'm thinking somethings gonnna go down, i have been researching haarp alot and this group sounds really sketchy.. They have weapons that can punch a hole in the sky going threw everything, rays, and if the hole were big enough to cover a whole country, everyone would die from mass radaition poisning. and the U.S. gov. and others have a weapon that can cause earthquakes? are you serious? It's probably solar flares resonating through the atmosphere. There was a sizable solar storm a few weeks ago and there seems to have been quite a few reports of this phenomenon during this period.

You know there will always be those that will take something that is very real and try to make it look like everyone is just a little crazy or lying. I live in Kentucky and I heard a sound that sounded like a shofar being blown. I am not crazy and I am definetly not telling an untruth.....I know what I heard. And the funny thing of it is, I didn't even know that other people were hearing sounds also until I typed in "strange sounds in the sky" in my search engine. I don't know what it is...I don't have a clue. But I do believe that these things are leading up to the return of the Lord as it speaks about in the Book of Revelation.

Hi All,I live in Orangeville Ontario Canada a population of about 12,000 not big and not small. I to heard these trumpet like noises in my backyard while I was making a skating rink for my daughter's skating birthday party. I am not kidding this really happened, the only thing that came to mind was the sounds from the movie war of the worlds. I just happened to stumble upon other places in the area and now around the world which are hearing the same sounds. This is really creepy.

Heard these noises in the UK between February and March,about 4 times,only way to describe the noise was it was like a metal grating sound which started loud and just faded away in seconds.The third time i heard it,car alarms in the locality went off,so must have involved some kind of vibration.
