Student sells virginity to pay for education

A 22 year old student from San Diego, California is auctioning off her virginity to pay for her college education. Under the pseudonym Natalie Dylan, the young woman had this to say in response to heated debates surrounding her offer:
"I don't think auctioning my virginity will solve all my problems," she told celebrity television show The Insider on Wednesday. "But it will create some financial stability. I'm ready for the controversy, I know it will come along. I'm ready to do this.""We live in a capitalist society. Why shouldn't I be allowed to capitalize on my virginity?" she added.
The woman, who has earned a bachelor degree in women's studies and now wants to start a master's degree in marriage and family therapy, is hoping the bidding will hit $1 million.
eBay barred her from selling her virginity through their site, so "Dylan" will run the auction at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, a brothel in Nevada where her sister is working to pay off her own college education.
Their mother, a fourth grade teacher, does not approve of her decision.

The 'normalisation' of pornography and prostitution as a career is a subset of internet 'freedom' that also gives us citizen journalism and all the other stuff. As to if it's morally right or not well morals is as morals is - I hope she lives a long and fruoitful life and that her daughters if she's lucky enough to have any - have the chance to get education without having to follow their mother's example - unless they want to of course.

It's a shame that this young woman feels the need to sell her virginity to pay for college. It appears that she feels her virginity is the only thing she has of value. My photo of the Red Onion Saloon and Brothel in Skagway, Alaska represents a period in history where women flocked to the Gold Rush areas in hopes of finding husbands. Instead they ended up as prostitutes in brothels, tiny 1 room houses called "cribs" or even in the streets and alleyways of the town. Women selling their virtue is a very old story, but it's a sad commentary that it is still going on today.

LMAO That bitch is not putting any of that money towards college. She'll just end up working at the ranch, being one of the many hoes that work there. They all say that, Oh i'm stripping to pay for college, i'm selling sex for school. Like Chris Rock said, I didn't know you could pay for college with a bunch of 1 dollar bills.

This is not only for the girl in the article but all girls and boys all over the world. Your virginity is a very special piece of you. When you loose it by selling it, rape, or giving it away to somebody else, remember you are not only losing your virginity, you are settling for less than you deserve when it is not in a marriage. You are also giving up your self respect. Remember it is a GIFT, one not to take but one to give! If you are selling it, you are taking the gift for yourself. When you give it away, give it to someone that you know will be faithful all your life. Yes, there are people who wait.
Also we all must remember that money will not make us happy, only God can make us happy. Jer. 29:11 "For I know that plans I have for you, Plans to give you hope and a future."
One last thing, when there is a way in, there is always a way out. If you feel like you may be headed the wrong direction, follow your instincts and go the other direction.

Stop Preaching.
1. Let people do what they want to. If you decide that you are right and therefore you must make everyone else do things in the same way as you... you are no better than Hitler. It's fine to preach to those who come seeking you, at a church etc. but in the same way as you would never want to hear/respect a satinist's views you should keep in mind that people don't want to hear yours.
2. You obviously have had an easy life. Give a thought for those who haven't had it as easy as you and cant do things the exact way you have.
3. You make out that if you are raped you are "settling for less". This is without doubt the most disgusting and peverse view I have ever encountered from someone purporting to be spreading the "good" news.
4. Please give evidence for: "deserve", "you are giving up your self respect", "it is a gift", "only god can make us happy". These are your own, bias, views.
Do not forget. It is people with strong, one-sided views like you who have started wars - killed and tortured. Time to start listening to everyone.

Why is it elitist of your type always think that everyone has an opinion except "Christians". The only "Hitler" I see here is you. You would stifle my free speach because I worship the same God the founders of our country worshiped. If you had one inkling of understanding of the "God" I worship you would not be saying the things you do. The funny thing about my beliefs is that if I am an idiot and wrong, then when we die, we will just fade away into nothing. BUT if I am right....you will not like the next words you hear when you die...Why don't you take a look for yourself, use your open mind and see if the God of Abraham, Moses, Issac and George Washington (these men were not perfect, just forgiven) might just change your life. I don't speak to you with hate, but a desire to stand with you in heaven.
Research honestly and seek...you will be thankful for what you find...
