Iowa City, IA

On Thursday, February 7th suspicion began to
surround a possible murder in the apartments on South Van Buren.  “The ambulances came with their lights on,
woke me up, then left without their lights on.
I think somebody was killed,” said local resident Ambrose King, “the
cops were there too, it was like CSI Iowa City.”

I was not long until there was an entire assortment of
different stories and rumors flying about.
“I heard they are looking for a 6’ 2”, 300 pound guy; they think he was
drunk” said a different local resident, Spencer Shoonover.

The only consistent information received was that this was a
definite homicide situation and that the person was an elderly man.  “I think it was that old guy who always
walked his cat” Shoonover stated, “My friend lives in that same complex and she
said she knew him.”  “I bet it was that
old guy that lives in there; I heard it was him” King reported.

Still as of Friday morning, no concrete evidence has
surfaced on what actually took place.
One thing is for sure, the police cars have not left, and the news
reporters are beginning to arrive.

Wow, this story is very eerie. I live in Iowa City and was gone for the weekend, and
to come back and here a story like this is mind-blowing. I never suspected
something this terrifying could happen in Iowa
City.

I read about this in the Daily Iowan and I was completely freaked out!  What is this world coming to.  I am pretty sure the guy was like 75 years old according to the DI and the guy that killed him was 21.  The sad thing is that the guy who is being accused for the murder, did it on his 21st birthday.  That is just crazy to me.

Scary stuff, and interesting to read about.  Thanks for the information!  Do you have an AP stylebook?  You may want to follow some AP guidelines in the future to give your stories a bit more polish.  Of course, this is just a suggestion.
