Four people were poisoned after following a faulty recipe from a Swedish food magazine, prompting the publication to recall ten thousand copies of the periodical.

"There was a mistake in a recipe for apple cake. Instead of calling for two pinches of nutmeg it said 20 nutmeg nuts were needed," Matmagasinet's chief editor Ulla Cocke told AFP.

That much nutmeg would cause mild hillucinations and possibly some uphoria as nutmeg has psychoactive properties.  Aparently those that complained about the effects were not familiar with this common spice's properties in large doses.
