Yelp Review: Petrol Station Burger Sends Racist Drawing to Customer

Yelp user Tarek G. wrote a scathing review of Petrol Station, a burger bar in Houston, Texas. Tarek said that, when his burger was brought to his table, it was accompanied by a drawing of a plane flying into the Twin Towers, along with the text "Happy 9/11".

Tarek G., who is Arabic, was not amused, and complained to the manager. He got a refund, but not an apology. He wrote a review on Yelp, and one of his friends tweeted a pic of the drawing, alerting several major news organizations.

You can guess what happened next: Ben Fullelove, the owner of Petrol Station, had to go into damage-control mode. He fired the employee and apologized to Tarek G.

As for the employee in question, Fullelove says, "You can't control every aspect of your business. An employee made a stupid mistake...well, not even a mistake, he did something really, really retarded and he got fired. You can only spin it so many ways after that."

You can see the offending drawing below.
