This weeks award winner a freelance writer from Saskatchewan is elusive to say the very least, three hours of internet search produced nothing more then a couple random articles and a brief quarter page bio. He has worked for Air Canada enRoute, Ski Canada and is co-founder of spikedstories.ca , an interesting concept sight that I was unable to gain access to. Despite Mr. Black’s ominous credential a ripping Sunday book review   www.thestar.com/entertainment/article/443562 quickly elevated his award status from nomination to potential winner and finally the decided choice all over an elaborate Sunday diner.

Black calls the second edition of Author Dan Kennedy’s memoirs pessimistic, apologetic and tentative in other word he’s no Wolfe, Mailer or even Hemingway. Black also makes a point to prove that Kennedy’s anti-hero ghetto has also been overdone by other lesser knowns, Eggers, Ames, Hornby and Coupland a cast that the reviewer Mr. Black insists is with out a set of balls between four gentlemen.
