What would I do after stealing 1.5 million euros from my employer? I know! I'll stash it in the park! This is exactly what a Serbian bank clerk decided to do after walking out with a briefcase full of notes.
A Serbian bank clerk who stole nearly1.5 million euros from his bank left a note reading "I'msorry," buried the loot in a park and waited at a cafe forpolice to arrest him.

Aleksandar Spasic Saturday walked out of the Raiffeisenbranch office in the central town of Kragujevac with the moneystuffed in his briefcase, state news agency Tanjug reported.

"I am sorry, but I had to do it," said the note he left forhis boss.

Police found the money buried in six holes in a nearbypark.

Spasic was arrested Saturday at a cafe after he calledpolice and asked: "How long do I have to wait for you?"

Police said Spasic was still being questioned Monday. Hismotive was not immediately clear.
