Puffer or Blow fish - for Fugu. I wasn't able to try any this trip either as it was $100 per fish and out of my league.

What looks to Westerners to be just those puffer fish that eat our bait when we're trying to catch whiting or flathead is a delicacy to the Japanese. Each fish sells for around USD100 after preparation in a licenced Fugu restaurant. This tray has come straight off the boat and was photographed at the famous Tsukiji Market in Tokyo.
