'Tom Cruise Pool Water' for Sale on eBay
'Tom Cruise Swam in This Pool Water': Must Be Legit, Right?
An intrepid eBay seller is hawking what is claimed to be Tom Cruise pool water. That is, water from a swimming pool in which Tom Cruise swam with his daughter Suri.
Four ounces of hotel pool water: yours for the low, low price of $100 (opening bid). Funny enough, the bid count is at zero at the time of this posting.
Even if we take the seller at his/her word (and we're not sure why we would), wouldn't the fact that this is hotel pool water lessen the overall value? If it were water from Tom Cruise's own pool, you would be guaranteed to have the dirt, sweat, sunblock, and skin cells from Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and little Suri, along with their celebrity friends (and maybe a bug).
Hotel pool water? Who knows what else could be diluting it? Sweat from the non-famous? Extra chlorine? That stuff that turns blue when exposed to urine?
From the original eBay listing:
For sale is a 4oz. glass bottle containing water taken from a pool in Miami Beach, Florida in which Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes swam in with daughter Suri on July 16, 2011. There is a very limited supply of this special water. The winning bidder will receive a 5x7 print of Tom swimming in the pool with Katie Holmes by his side as a certificate of authenticity. The bottle is hand painted and shows a cross to mimic the effect of a bottle of Holy Water. But this cross also bears four gold rays coming from behind, which can also be considered the symbol of Scientology. Tom Cruise water can be used in rituals, potions, or perfumes. It can be dabbed behind the ears or on the wrists for good luck. You can place some of it around the hearth of your home or baptize your baby with it. The possibilities are endless. Happy bidding!
How is that photo a certificate of authenticity? Anyway, we found this gem via RadarOnline.
