UPDATES below ...

TORONTO - The city is in an uproar today after two admitted gang members were found not guilty in the murder of 11 year old Ephraim Brown while he attended a birthday party in July/2007. The 11 member jury didn't believe Ephraim's cousin, Kishauna Thomas, who was the only witness who came forward to give testimony against Akiel Eubank and Gregory Sappleton, both 24, and had been released from jail after three years in custody.

Apparently the reason the jury did not believe Thomas, was her testimony from the incident, and then later at the trial were inconsistent, and changed many times.

UPDATE - December 17/2010 - ‘Witness Kishauna Thomas now "fears for her life" after receiving death threats for giving evidence at the murder trial of the acquitted suspects. It appears that Canada doesn't have a relocation "witness protection plan" for witnesses who come forward, when the suspects are found not guilty.

UPDATE - December 20/2010 - A Toronto Star reporter (Canada's Largest newspaper) has revealed she was asked to serve on this jury but was unable to do so. She writes about why/how the jury may have come to their decision. In Canada juries are not allowed to be interviewed by the media at anytime.

The 11 year old was attending a birthday party of a family member in downtown Toronto and was caught in the cross fire of know gang members and the only person to come forward was his cousin Thomas.

Based on the results of this trial, it's no wonder nobody wants to come forward, and identify shooters in Toronto. The 11 member jury's reasoning, was they didn't believe the testimony of Thomas, and therefore they were found not guilty and left the court "free men."

What utter rubbish, the article is not clear as to why the jury did not believe the cousin. This is why society is in a downward spiral. We are giving our power over to the criminals
