Two words: bat & hard-drive

To start, don't take a bat to your current hard drive, and if you try this at work will get you fired super quick. However, when you're done with your personal hard drive get that Louisville Slugger out!

So the whole bat idea is more figurative but the point is, if you don't erase or shatter your old hard drive, you're leaving a lot of personal information that can be used against you be thieves.  Put it this way, all those things you 'erased' or 'deleted' from you computer are still very much on your hard drive. It, like a woman, remembers everything!! (I'm a woman so i can say this). Unless you use specific software, giant magnets or wreck it, you're information is unsafe.

The last time I had to destroy my hard drive I used a good old hammer. It was satisfying and I recommend it :)
