Have a look at this footage captured by a police cruiser's (FLIR) forward looking infrared camera filming a UFO apparently releasing what appears to be a probe-like object. Isn't Long Beach somewhere near Hollywood where they have all sorts of special effects expertise. This reminds me of a friend of mine who used to make 'UFOs' out of dry cleaner bags and candles.
