UFO: Odd Light Beam Wiltshire,UK Beam Connected to Crop Circles?

An unusual light source was filmed in Wiltshire, england by an individual wearing night vision goggles.  The strange beam of light slowly appears into the scope sight vantage until it it completely visible.  What makes this strange light from the heavens above interesting is the high concentration and discovery rate of crop circles in this vicinity annually.  Is there a connection between this beam , UFOs and crop circles?  It is possible there is a connection,  it will also be very interesting to see what develops in the area post sighting both with UFO and crop circle activity .
