Well, here's my story. On November 19 2005,while driving my work truck to Port Canaveral,I noticed a car that had been on fire on the side of the road.Upon closer inspection I notice the car was a Lamborghini. The car was surrounded by a couple of fire trucks and 2 or 3 police cars.I decided to pull over to get a picture of the wreck.I was standing maybe 30 feet for the scene and snapped my first and last picture. After that a female sherriffs deputy came up to me and said I needed to leave, that it was a hazardous scene.I said ok and snapped another pic as I was leaving. This infuriated the officer. She demanded that I give her my camera.I asked why?She said I can't be taking pictures of a crime scene. There was no indication it was a crime scene.I refused to give her my camera.Again she told me to give her the camera.Again I refused. She told me one more time to give her the camera and went to take it away from me.I pulled my hand back as she tried to grab the camera.
Next thing I know I'm on the ground with 4 deputies on my back.I had my camera taken away from me and was arrested for"resisting arrest".
I was left in jail overnight. My truck was impounded. My camera confiscated for evidence.I was released the next day and found out I was fired for the incident.
The assistant stste attourney dropped the charge after only one week.
To date this hurrendous act I did has cost me over $50,000.00
All for taking a picture.

No, that's not all you did. You stood up for your right as an American. Against what has become the playground of the rich, sold off to the richer and lived in by the poor, huddled masses that do nothing but complain about whose redder or bluer. You told a figure of little authority, who gains ground into our private lives every time we look away, and will bully someone even for not returning a book to the library.

Let's face it, the status quo is what we live for. It keeps most of us safe, most of us in a house, most of us working and fed. But when the status quo is upset, what do you have? An empty mall and a lot more Xanax to go around. Most of us worrying if someone is going to post that notice this morning, most of us worring ifwe'll eat today, most of just wondering why?
Make no mistake, there really has been no great choice for US goverenment at any level for many years. We are presented with only those that present well to us. That will continue to work for the cause. That will take your camera and you won't even ask why next time....or put a camera just inches away from your hand every second of the day.
