William Maser from Pennsylvania is a history buff, who spends his time recreating firearms from old wars, but yesterday he accidentially fired one of his cannons into his neighbor's house. The two pound cannonball did not hit anyone, but smashed a window and went through a wall in the neighbor's house before ending up in their closet.

He has been charged with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

No one answered the phone Friday at Maser's home. He tells WPXI-TV recreating 19th century cannons is a longtime hobby. He says he is sorry and he will stop shooting them on his property, about 35 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
