Nononowait... this isn't spam! It's an article about how US forces in Afghanistan are using Viagra as a bribery tool to win support amongst local kingmakers.

Aside from being hilarious, it's also quite interesting: money isn't always the most useful thing if other elements of one's life are lacking. CIA operatives have also used medicine, tools, and services as payment as well, but this is the first time I've ever heard of male-enhancement drugs getting such deployment.

The enticement worked. The officer, who described the encounter, returned four days later to an enthusiastic reception. The grinning chief offered up a bonanza of information about Taliban movements and supply routes -- followed by a request for more pills.

For U.S. intelligence officials, this is how some crucial battles in Afghanistan are fought and won.

If the Americans don't offer incentives, there are others who will, including Taliban commanders, drug dealers and even Iranian agents in the region.

Do you think these pills are taxpayer-funded, or did Pfizer sponsor the CIA on this one?

One could almost call it Positive Chemical warfare. Do they hand out contraceptives as well?

No, contraceptives would be against Boy George's foreign policy.
