Woolly Mammoth Video: Extinct Species, or Hoax?
Woolly Mammoth Spotted in Siberia?
The video below purports to show a woolly mammoth, long thought extinct, crossing a river in Siberia. The woolly mammoth video was supposedly shot by a Russian engineer, and was posted by Michael Cohen, whose All News Web also features stories like "UFO Spotted in White House Christmas Card".
According to The Sun, hair recovered from the scene matched woolly mammoth hair dug up from ice-entombed mammoth carcasses. Uh, citation needed.
The video is most likely fake, alas. If you saw a woolly mammoth in the wild, would you not make sure your shot was in focus? Would you not shoot for more than ten seconds?
Also, if this video was really shot last summer, why withhold it until yesterday?
Decide for yourself. Does the video below depict:
- a real live woolly mammoth?
- a bear carrying something in its mouth?
- a CGI hoax?
We're going with CGI hoax.
