In some cases, power producers are paying customers to take electricity off their hands.

Time to invent some ways to store electricity instead of paying customers to take it...

This was teh case in NYC: Con Ed would pay you to put power back into the grid, but the cost of setting up an alt-energy generator far outweighed the incentives offered by the utility company.
