There are gadgets, and then there are -- GADGETS!
Tired of having your umbrella turn inside out? Of having cold wind and beating rain slash you under your umbrella?
Inventor Paul Kaufman is out to change all that. His Nubrella is a hands-free plastic bubble that he says will protect the wearer from wind chill, wind, rain, and snow.
How does it work? Video coverage here.
Hammacher Schlemmer picked the Nubrella up for its Father's Day catalog. With the big HS behind it, will Nubrella take off?
Note: living in a state with lots of extreme weather action, I want one. Seriously.

On the flip side, engadget calls it "tomorrow's fashion mistake, today." Ubergizmo calls it a "goldfish bowl" but says it will keep you dry.

I won't be satisified until government takes proper action against rain (sarcasm).

Thanks, cityskip! I'm still contemplating the looks I'd get with that.
